Skilled Person (SP)

A person with relevant training and experience who is authorised to perform electrical work independently and to recognise and avoid hazards. Appointed by the installation responsible.
Practical example
Competent Person (CP). A CP may connect/disconnect a circuit in a dead distribution board after correct switching operations.
Common mistake
Competent Person (CP). Mistake: Assigning tasks outside their designation (e.g., HV) assuming 'they are competent' — designation is task-specific, not general.
