NEN 3140 §4.3
Work Responsible
Werkverantwoordelijke (WV)
Also known as: wv
Appointed person who is responsible on site for carrying out a specific piece of electrical work and applying the work procedure (LOTOTO, de-energising). Requests permission for the work from the IV, admits the work team to the work location and reports the work as complete (gereedmelding) to the IV afterwards.
Practical example
Before replacing a motor, the WV requests permission from the IV, assigns an employee to check the lock-out and then admits the work team to the work location.
Common mistake
Letting the work team start without permission from the IV, or re-energising the installation yourself afterwards — only the IV authorises re-energising; the WV reports the work as complete.
