Isolerend gereedschap
Also known as: isolerend-gereedschap, isolatiegereedschap, dielectric-tools, vde-gereedschap, vde, 1000v-gereedschap, geisoleerd-gereedschap
Insulated tools: Hand tools with factory-applied insulation up to 1000 V AC / 1500 V DC, identifiable by the double triangle marking and voltage indication. Visually inspect before each use and have periodically tested.
Practical example
Insulating tool When loosening a terminal near a live part, a screwdriver with VDE marking and 1000 V insulation is used.
Common mistake
Insulating tools: Using tools with visibly damaged insulation, assuming 'it still looks good enough' — damaged insulation no longer guarantees protection.
