BA4/BA5 person (instructed/skilled per EN 50110-1)
European classification from NEN-EN 50110-1 for persons carrying out work on or near electrical installations: BA4 is an instructed person, adequately advised or supervised by a BA5 to avoid the dangers electricity may create; BA5 is a skilled person with sufficient technical knowledge and experience. NEN 3140 uses the comparable Dutch terms VOP and VP, but BA4/BA5 stems specifically from the European base standard and is mainly used in international/MV contexts and training documentation.
Een buitenlandse onderaannemer op een MS-schakelstation toont zijn BA5-certificaat aan de installatieverantwoordelijke voordat hij zelfstandig schakelhandelingen mag verrichten.
BA4/BA5 en VOP/VP als volledig identiek beschouwen — de onderliggende bevoegdheidscriteria komen overeen, maar de aanwijzing en documentatie moeten per toepasselijk kader (NEN 3140 óf EN 50110-1) apart worden vastgelegd.
