Arc-Rated PPE (ATPV Classification)
The classification (expressed in cal/cm², arc thermal performance value) indicating up to which incident energy personal protective equipment (clothing, visor, gloves) protects against arc-flash heat, tested per NEN-EN-IEC 61482-2. The required ATPV value for a task follows from the calculated incident energy at the work location.
