Protective conductor — yellow/green — connecting all accessible metal parts to the earth electrode. Diverts fault current and ensures protection trips within the required time.

Common mistake

PE gebruiken als neutraal in een TN-S net — strikt verboden, levert spanning op de behuizing op.
