Cable gland
Kabelwartel
A threaded fitting that brings a cable into an enclosure or luminaire, takes the pull and torsion strain and maintains the IP rating at the entry point. Its size (M, PG) must match the cable diameter; unused holes are sealed with a blind gland or plug to keep the IP.
Common mistake
Een te ruime wartel kiezen of een opening met tape dichten — de IP-waarde van de hele kast vervalt op het zwakste invoerpunt.
