Low-resistance measurement (≥200 mA, ≤0.5 Ω typical) between each accessible metal part and the HAR. Confirms that protection via automatic disconnection is actually closed.
Practical example
PE bonding (continuity test): 0.3 Ω measured between washing machine casing and main earth rail at 200 mA, well within standard.
Common mistake
PE bonding (continuity test) Common mistake: Measuring continuity with a standard multimeter on ohms instead of a test instrument with sufficient test current — a poor, high-resistance connection may go unnoticed.
