Continuity test (R1+R2 / R2 method)
Measurement of the resistance of the protective conductor (PE) in series with the line conductor (R1+R2 method), or of the PE conductor alone (R2 method), to verify continuous connection and low resistance of the earthing path to every point of use, part of the initial verification under NEN 1010 §61. An unexpectedly high measured resistance indicates a poor connection, corrosion, or a break in the PE conductor.
