Electrical Hazard Warning Sign (Pictogram)
A standardised yellow triangle with a black lightning-bolt symbol (pictogram W012 per NEN-EN-ISO 7010) warning of the presence of hazardous voltage behind a cover, door, or barrier. The sign must be visibly fitted at every access point to live parts that is not otherwise obvious (e.g. switchgear cabinets, meter cupboards, transformer rooms) and does not replace other measures such as barriers or locking, but supplements them as a visual warning.
Op de deur van de hoofdverdeelinrichting in de meterkast is een waarschuwingsbord elektrisch gevaar aangebracht, direct zichtbaar voor iedereen die de kast opent, ook als deze niet is afgesloten.
Aannemen dat een afgesloten meterkast geen waarschuwingsbord nodig heeft omdat "toch niemand er zomaar bij kan" — bij onderhoud, verbouwing of calamiteiten krijgen ook onbevoegden of hulpdiensten toegang, en juist dan is het pictogram essentieel.
