Risk classification and re-inspection interval
Based on a risk inventory (environment, load, usage intensity, age), an installation or piece of equipment is placed in a risk class, which determines the maximum re-inspection interval. A heavily loaded installation in a dusty workshop gets a shorter interval than a lightly loaded office installation; the installation responsible sets the interval in writing and must justify any deviation from the guideline values.
Een productiehal met veel stof en trillingen krijgt risicoklasse 'hoog' en dus een herkeuringstermijn van één jaar, terwijl een kantoorverdieping met risicoklasse 'laag' een termijn van drie jaar krijgt.
Voor alle installaties dezelfde standaardtermijn aanhouden zonder risico-inventarisatie — de herkeuringstermijn moet per installatie/omgeving onderbouwd worden, niet generiek gekopieerd uit een ander project.
