Excavation Notification (Dutch WION Registry)
A mandatory notification to the Dutch Cadastre (Klic-Online) that anyone planning mechanical excavation must file in advance, under the Dutch Underground Networks Information Exchange Act (WIBON, formerly WION). The notification returns the location data of all cables and pipes in the dig area, including electrical cables, to prevent damage and power outages.
Voordat een aannemer een sleuf graaft voor een nieuwe kabel naar een laadpaal, doet hij minimaal één werkdag van tevoren een Klic-melding om de exacte ligging van bestaande elektriciteits- en telecomkabels te ontvangen.
Handmatig graven zonder Klic-melding omdat 'het maar een klein gaatje is' — ook bij kleinschalig graafwerk kan een beschadigde kabel op geringe diepte al tot een gevaarlijke situatie en stroomuitval leiden.
