Kabelschoen (crimpverbinding)
A metal end connector crimped onto a cable conductor to create a reliable, low-resistance connection to a terminal, busbar or connection point. Type and size per NEN-EN 60947-7 must match the conductor cross-section; an incorrectly sized lug creates high contact resistance that can lead to localised heating.
Practical example
Op de 25 mm² hoofdaansluitkabel wordt een passende kabelschoen met een gekalibreerde krimptang bevestigd voordat deze op de rail van de hoofdverdeler wordt geboout.
Common mistake
Een kabelschoen met een gewone combinatietang 'plat knijpen' in plaats van een gekalibreerde krimptang te gebruiken — de crimp voldoet dan niet aan de trek- en overgangsweerstandseisen en kan later loslaten of ooververhitten.
