Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) — Bidirectional Charging
A charging setup in which energy does not only flow from the grid to the vehicle battery, but can also be fed back to the installation or the grid via a DC charging point with an integrated or external inverter. In addition to the usual charging-point requirements (dedicated final circuit, RCD selection), this also requires anti-islanding protection, correct phase-sequence monitoring, and coordination with the grid operator regarding feed-back.
