Cable Cleat / Cable Clip
A mechanical fastening device that secures a cable at fixed intervals along a wall, ceiling, or cable support so it cannot sag, sway, or come loose. For power cables carrying high fault currents, the cable cleat must additionally withstand the electrodynamic forces occurring during a short circuit, with a spacing selected accordingly; this distinguishes a short-circuit-rated cable cleat from a simple clip used for light, fixed wiring.

Gewone lichte kabelclips voor datakabel gebruiken om zware vermogenskabels vast te zetten — bij een kortsluiting kunnen de elektrodynamische krachten de clips laten bezwijken, waardoor kabels tegen elkaar of tegen scherpe randen slaan.
