Neutral Point Earthing of the LV Distribution Transformer
Directly connecting the star point (neutral point) of the secondary winding of the grid operator's LV distribution transformer to earth, usually via a dedicated earth electrode at the transformer station. This star point is the source of the neutral conductor (N) and, together with the chosen earthing arrangement (TN, TT, IT), determines how fault currents return to the source.
