Working Clearance for Switchgear and Distribution Boards
The clear space that must remain in front of, and where relevant behind, switchgear or a distribution board to allow operation, maintenance and safe escape, without accounting for open doors or withdrawn switches. NEN 1010 §132.12 requires this space to be adequate for the intended actions; access routes to rooms containing distribution equipment generally need to be at least 0.70 m wide and 2.0 m high.
Bij het plaatsen van een nieuwe hoofdverdeler in een technische ruimte wordt minimaal 1 meter vrije ruimte voor de kast aangehouden, zodat een monteur bij storingen veilig kan werken en indien nodig snel kan wegkomen.
Dozen, kasten of andere spullen tegen of voor een verdeelinrichting opslaan — dit belemmert niet alleen bediening en onderhoud, maar kan bij een storing ook een vluchtweg blokkeren.
