Electrical Schematic Symbols (NEN-EN 60617)
Standardised graphical symbols for electrotechnical diagrams (single-line diagrams, connection diagrams, wiring diagrams), so installation drawings are read unambiguously worldwide regardless of the drafter's language. Correct use is essential for the inspection register and as-built documentation accompanying a NEN 3140 inspection and NEN 1010 commissioning: an incorrect or outdated symbol can mislead a technician about, for example, the type of switch or protective device.
Op het enkellijnschema van een groepenkast wordt het symbool voor een aardlekautomaat (RCBO) gebruikt in plaats van het symbool voor een losse installatieautomaat met aparte aardlekschakelaar, zodat de inspecteur direct kan zien welk beveiligingstype fysiek in de kast moet zitten.
Verouderde of zelfbedachte symbolen overnemen uit een oud tekenprogramma-sjabloon zonder deze te toetsen aan de actuele NEN-EN 60617-symbolenlijst, waardoor het schema niet meer aansluit bij wat andere partijen (netbeheerder, keuringsinstantie) verwachten.
