Fire-rated cable penetration seal
Sealing of a cable penetration through a fire-separating wall or floor, executed so that the fire resistance (EI rating) of the separating structure is preserved. Tested per NEN-EN 1366-3 and assessed per NEN 6069, which checks the integrity (E) and thermal insulation (I) of the penetration. The applied product and installation method must match the tested system and its installation instructions.
Waar een kabelgoot een brandwerende wand tussen twee brandcompartimenten kruist, wordt de opening rondom de kabels afgedicht met een geteste brandwerende kit conform het EI60-certificaat van de fabrikant.
Na het bijplaatsen van een extra kabel de bestaande brandwerende afdichting niet herstellen — een geopende en niet correct herafgedichte doorvoer verliest zijn EI-classificatie volledig, ook al lijkt de opening klein.
